Fazenda Santa Clara 50%
Region: Carmo de Minas, Minas Gerais - Brazil
Process: Dry / Natural
Region: Inza, Cauca - Colombia
Varietal: Caturra & Castillo
TDP seasonal espresso blend is filled with hazelnuts, chocolate and damson preserve notes. These flavour characteristics are the result of blending two South American coffees - Fazenda Santa Clara from Carmo de Minas in Minas Gerais State in Brazil and INZA from the Department of Cauca in Colombia.
Fazenda Santa Clara belongs to Paulo Teixeira, a fourth-generation coffee producer whose family has been cultivating coffee since 1930 when Paulo’s grandfather started the first coffee plantation. It is a 112-hectare farm, 53 hectares of which are planted with coffee. The main arabica variety that is grown in the farm is Catucai at 1100 metres above sea level.
50% of the blend is made up of Inza beans - a coffee grown by various smallholder coffee producers in a small town deep in the Cordillera Central mountain range of Colombia, at 1500 metres above sea level. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, this region is part of the great Colombian massif, the most important source of water in the country.
